Proximity Courtesy Lights

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has ever modified their 09's side view mirrors to have a proximity activated courtesy lights like found on the 12'.

I'm interested in if this is even possible, DIY or professionally installed are both on the table. I've seen these lights below, but don't know if its possible to make them activated via the proximity key.
