If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just got mine, 1/29/11. White/Cashmere 4.6

Paid 35,600 plus taxes and fees. (Includes 1500 Competitive Rebate)

After negotiating price, I instead went for a 36month, 36K mile lease for $508.00 per month. They used one of the rebates to pay for my dealer fees etc, so i all i did was come in and sign.

Final lease payment is 525+ tax as I added Gap Insurance and Lease End Insurance.

They originally quoted my 39K until I told them I had a quote for 35, and then they agreed to match it. Dublin Hyundai in SF Bay Area.

Purchased a V-8 titanium grey with saddle interior last week through a broker for $38,750 including wheel locks, i-pod cable, trunk liner. (SF Bay Area)

Just got windows tinted today, and ordered wing emblem from Korea.

The V8 Genesis is the best car there is under $40k !

Just got mine yesterday. 2011 Genesis V6. Base with no extra options. Asking $35, 589. Out the door $28, 500. I'm in love.

I have been lurking on here for months and falling more in love with the idea of getting a Genesis, in no small part due to the great community here.

My quick question after reading this is on 2010 4.6, Stickered at 43,800 do you think I could get a dealer here in Houston TX to bite at 36'ish. If so coupled with the money factor I am seeing people quote (.00175) and the residual (52-54%), If so I can probably make a move here soon and join the club.

4.6 titanium with saddle is what I want too. best looking combo IMHO. too bad there's no sapphire blue pearl with saddle- that would probably be my favorite.

Wow great price, you say 28500 out the door but does that include taxes etc.?

I thought I did well with a base no options 33,800 sticker down to 29,500 with $1,500 competitor rebate and out the door at $31,344. Financed 60 months at 2.9%.

Anybody else buy the base model?

I'm happy with the deal and with the car. I used iLeaseCar Pro app on my iPad to work the numbers at the dealership (was able to replicate their amount to the penny). Dealer was floored!

That was out the door. I got a dealer out of state to give me a quote and I took his quote to a local dealer who beat his price. My wife has a Honda Odyssey that we drove from Columbia SC to Atlanta Georgia to get back in 2003 since no local dealer was willing to negotiate. I was quick to show the local dealer here that van as proof that I will drive for a deal. However, I did not really need to do that as Jim Hudson was nothing but professional. I was very impressed with every part of the deal.

I want to thank all of you on this forum. I lurked here and read everything I could for weeks before deciding on buying the Genesis. The information I got from here was invaluable. I traded in a 2008 Acura TL for the Genny. The TL was a great car and I was very concerned about going from the Acura to the Hyundai. So far I couldn't be happier in my decision.

One of the things that caused me some apprehension was all the suspension /ride discussion from here. I test drove the V8 twice, a 17" V6 and an 18" V6. I found no problem with the ride. For what it's worth, I find the ride of the Genny to be very comparable to my TL which I liked. YMMV.
