lol, thats robbery give the car more respect than that, thats v8 no tech money. i find it hard to believe when consumers try to make ridiculous offers like that, i sell cars and if you make reasonable offers, alotta of times u may get it, when u make outlandish ones then you recieve no love. theres not even that much markup in the v8 with tech for u to even buy it at that price anyway, thats below INVOICE. make a fair decent one and maybe ull have luck, continue like that and youll be driving an azera.:)

Doubt I'll be driving the Azera! The question really is will it be 2 months or 6 months before I get it something closer to the invoice. The invoice is $38911 on the car. Not all dealers have enough inventory for the V8 yet in Houston so supply is low. Unemployment will hit 8.5 percent early next year. In this economy paying MSRP just dosen't seem right. Hey it is the dealers perogative if he thinks he can sell it for more to someone else. It's perfectly fine with me with that is the case. I'll make do a couple of months untill the bottom falls off the market. I respect the car but don't necessarily want to leave money on the table for the dealers. Besides the delears really didn't make the car.

I did sense that the dealers were saying "We put with a lot of crap over the years and this is our time to get some respect like the BMW dealers." Perhaps!

Dealers around my area are still selling the V8/tech to the highest bidder. I am surprised that there are still people out there that will pay up to 3500 over sticker! I love the car but that seems over the top to me. I'm still waiting for more of them to hit the ground so the dealers in my area will start to feel good with sticker or a little under.

Even at invoice, they're making money from hold backs, "documentation fees" and warranty service - when they get tired of seeing the same cars parked at their store, day after day, with more coming in, the pricing will change in the favor of consumer. If it doesn't, take your money elsewhere. Stealerships can go suck an ice cube.

If anyone knows of any good deals in NJ for 3.8 V6 w/ Tech please let me know.

Got tired of trying to negotiate on a V8 Genesis. So I went out and bought a 535i today. BMW was dealing... and not too far off a Genesis.. No more Hyundai for me...

From the BMWUSA site:

535i Sedan

Gets ahead of everything but the driver.
Starting at $50,800 MSRP
3.0-liter, turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine
300 horsepower
Rear-wheel drive
26 mpg hwy*

"Not too far off a Genesis"....Gimme a break!

Here in the metro Phoenix area there are only 5-7 V-8's with the tech pakage. Two of the dealers here want $3,000-$5,000 over MSRP. I saw one online at another dealer and gave him a call, he too wanted more than MSRP. I spoke to them over the phone and got the car for MSRP and what I wanted for my trade (2004 Volvo S60R) The dealer drove the car to my house and we made the deal. Larry Miller Hyundai was the dealership
Previously i had deal for a 2008 BMW 535 that fell through, and by buying the Genesis I financed $17,000 less. Could I have waited and gotten a better deal? Probably, but the longer I waited the less my trade would have been worth and I wanted to get out of that car. Now I have my black/cashmere 4.6 and couldn't be happier.

:D After a three month wait, my V-8 Tech, Red/cashmere, finally arrived!

Here's my deal:

11/12/08, Pittsburgh, V8 Tech Lease $39,300, 27 months (12 K/year), $599/mo, $695 doc fee, minus $500 coupon, 56% residual value, $100 cargo tray included.

I've bought my last 3 Hyundais from Larry Miller. Sonota, XG350L, and my Azera.

Their service department is superb.

When I bought my Azera (even though I was pre-approved from Desert Schools Credit Union) their finance guy entered my SS# wrong and told me I was denied. He then tried to up my interest over 2 points. I foolishly signed and then jumped thru hoops to get the cu check to pay for the car.

I almost sued over this mishap.

This was 35 months ago.

Scottsdale Hyundai has a 5K market adjustment and another $1400 in etching, Autolab (new desert protection package I guess) and something else.

Around 48K for the v8 with tech. I told the guy I was working with that most likely I wouldn't buy from them if they are looking for a mooch.

I haven't been to Larry Miller as they have a v8 but I must have a V8 pearl white and at 0% 60 month financing. (Yeah I know - but it will happen - they will have to move inventory as things get even worse in the financial world.)

Scottsdale Hyundai has a peal white v6 I think it had the tech package.

Hi charlesleiss,

Congratulations on your new vehicle.

Was there any additional down payment? or did you have 0 down +$695 doc fee?

I got mine Champaign Cashmere interior and love everything about it..:D

Deal was on 11/3/08, 40850, $2199 down including first month, 24 months, $605 a month in GA, 60% residual.. I felt it was a reasonable deal given that they had the color combo I wanted and the supplies are very limited not mention the V8 seam to be flying of the lots…

although it has been said that the deal is in the eye of the beholder..

After all my car shopping, I finally decided on the Genesis simply because I just couldn't beat the deal. I managed to get a Pearl White V-6 Tech at the Costco price of $36,863 leased with out the door of $2099 (it was $2599, but Hyundai is offering a $500 lease only bonus right now) and $483 / month for 27 months. The $2099 includes my cap reduction, tax title and license fee for the 1st year. Money factor is so low, it's costing less than $16 a month. With tax, this lease is only $520 with a residual of 58% for 15,000 miles. Unreal. Couldn't pass that up.

Edit: I figured out that the lease was a better deal than a 6 year purchase at 0% financing with the same money down. Unreal.

why would you purchase this car over six years- the max MSRP is a bit over $42K for a fully loaded V8 Tech... man even five years is a bit much for this low of a priced car
