  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All!

I'm happy to say that i've purchased my second Genesis. My first go around I had bought a 2012 Genesis 3.8 Sedan with Premium + Technology package. It was black on black and was quite literally a dream come true. It was so good that both my father and I decided to get the same car. (He still has his, a silver one.)

As of two weeks ago, I traded up and purchased a 2015 Genesis V8 Ultimate! First order of business was getting my windows tinted and replacing the rear emblem with the KDM wings. The car turns heads, like, no, other. It's always a good feeling when a 2015 Mercedes S-Class owner looks at your car and wonders what it is you're actually driving. :)

I also purchased a 2015 Sonata Sport for my family. Black, of course.

The real reason i've decided to become active is, A. i'm a professional detailer, mainly work on exotic cars, and I see that I can share my knowledge and provide professional advice on how to care for your Genesis. I'll be posting a video and entire write up soon after I thoroughly detail my car. And by detailing, I don't mean washing and waxing. It's far more than that. :D It's tad cold right now in Chicago to do what I am trying to, but once the weather clears, it'll be my first order of business.

I traded up my 2011 Genesis with Tech for a 2015 Genesis and am very pleased with the choice. That was my wife’s car. I traded in my 2007 G35 for a 2015 Sonata turbo and am very happy with that. It doesn’t have the brute acceleration of the G but it’s a very nice car. Congrats on your upgrades and enjoy your ride. :D

I'll have to agree with you there. I had a 2008 Infiniti G35x AWD and the pick up and brute acceleration on that car just doesn't compare. Even when I punch the pedal on my Genesis, the pick up lags. The Sonata Turbo is surprisingly zippy though!
