If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum - I'm going to be purchasing a 2012 Hyundai Genesis w/ Premium Package (Black, Black and Saddle interior) this Sunday.

Now I am currently living in Florida and will be going to St Augustine to purchase my vehicle.
I currently have a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer with $8,000 left on it.
They agreed to purchase my car for $6000 when trading in.

Total price for Genesis after tax and negative equity added to it will be roughly $40,884.14
Is this a good price for 2012 Genesis with Premium plus my $2000 equity added to that price?

So it will be roughly $38,884 for the Genesis without the Equity added on.

Also is Premium good enough without Technology Package? Such as sound system, etc.

Thanks, Dominic

Wow! those are some low prices, are they legit prices though? Or are they going to add on a lot of fee's when I go there to actually get the car?

Fitzmall works on volume... no hidden costs unless you add their costly dealer add-ons.

Its definitely worth giving them a call and a roadtrip.

Dominic,

I think you can get a better price considering I just purchased a 2012 V6 with Tech, ipod, trunk liner, windscreen and locking lugs for 38,945.

Good luck...no matter what you do it will be a great car.

I got the R-Spec for $40,600 - that's not too much more than what they've quoted you and it's a whole lot more car. I would consider the Fitzmall option or Circle Pricing (which, the Florida forum-goers tell me, Fitzmall is quite close to). Given the short time frame, however, I doubt you'd have the time to join Circle.

As far as the Tech Package - for me it completes the car. There are some complaints about the DIS system and how complicated it is, and I agree it needs to be updated, but I love it. To me, it makes sense. There are quirks, but that's true of anything. The other added features are worth it to me, however, especially the full Lexicon sound system. Strongly consider it. You'll find many a post on here as to whether or not the Tech package is worth it, but to summarize, I think the general opinion is, if you can afford it, get it.

If nothing else- take Fitz' price to your dealer and ask them to beat it. See how close they'll come and then make your decision.:welcome:

I'm in Texas and that's what I did. I just had the salesman pull up the Fitzmall price right in his office. I didn't demand that he beat it, just match it. After the traditional lengthy disappearance to talk with the sales manager, he said he would. So pretty painless negotation and I feel like I'm getting a reasonable price, if not absolutely rock bottom.

Eliminates the negotiations/talking turkey... turning the table back on the Salesperson.
One chance to save a sale... talk or walk, ... knowing there's a better offer elsewhere.

That's the results of the educated consumer.
