  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I traded my 2008 Cadillac STS on a 2012 Genesis last Thursday. I loved my STS, but this car puts it to shame in so many ways.

I had the dealer hook up his computer and re-program the door locks so that they do not unlock when I put the car in Park. Now, after living with the car a few days, I'm wondering if they could also turn off the DRLs with their computer. Does anyone know?

Everything was/is programmed via computer, sure they can....only questions is: if they willing to do that? ;)

Welcome to the forum :)

In general, I'm a fan of DRLs. But Hyundai is really throwing the juice to the hi-beams for the DRLs on this car. They are extremely bright; so much so that I've been flashed in the early evening when I didn't even have the headlights on because the oncoming car thought I had my hi-beams on.

Lots of threads on here about 2012+ DRLs. From disabling, replacing with LEDs, etc. From what I've seen, nothing really fixes it.

I like DRLs disabled, and have done so by pulling fuses in my previous cars. But there isn't a separate fuse for DRLs in the 2012+ Genesis.
