  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Question for early adopter's of michelins

Lobsenza, you may have mentioned this in an earlier post but did you get your A/S 3a through your Hyundai dealer or from a tire shop? I am awaiting word from my dealer as to whether they'll let me have an upgrade Michelin and pay for the difference.

Genesis customer care told me in a phone conversation that now the campaign was now a recall, I could not get a different tire and pay the difference.

I went to Discount Tire for the recall last week and was given $149 each allowance for the Hankooks on Michelin Premiers. Haven't put enough miles on them yet to give an accurate report.

Thanks, Jarred....Ill run that up the Hyundai dealer's flagpole, check with Discount tire for a quote and go with the best price.

My car came with MX4 Michelins, and i live in Houston. I will never be able to tell anyone what they are like in the snow. Nor can i tell you what they are like on a 120F July freeway, yet. Not too crazy about Michelins. They seem to turn into nail magnets when they are half done. They feel like heavy rubber boots.

These tires are amazing: Barum Bravuris 3. Yes, they are cheap, yes they are made in Czechoslovakia. I have them on my Sonata currently. Best tires i have had on that car, especially in the rain. I had pricey Yokies and Michies on the Sonata. Not even close. My only complaint (from the Bimmer driver who recommended them) is the sidewalls are not very stiff, so not super great on the track, but great in the city. I would rather have those 2x more often than the Michies. 105 USD vs 218 USD (Discount Tire)
