  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am just a curious "Hoon" :p although I know speeding is not safe but for you owners of the V6, I have a question. Assuming you have broken in your engine for 600 miles.

For sake of incriminating yourself incase police monitor this site. Have you while dreaming verified the speed limiter of 130 MPH or maybe you happen to have a factory freak and it goes above that?

Ahem, well then...I've got 1600 miles on my car, and in a trip up to the lake on a deserted interstate late last night, I encountered an opportunity to lean on 'er just a bit, and I can verify that 122 is possible. Circumstances didn't allow me to top out, but another chance will invariably come (this from a man that paid to disable the governer on his 530).

I might add that the Genesis handled the speed well (although we were up there but briefly) -- maybe a notch below a Bimmer in sheer confidence -- BUT if I could rent a Genesis the next time I'm in Germany, I'd happily take her out on the 'Bahn, and suspect she'd hold her own. Roughly 500 of my 1600 miles in the Gen have been at 85 - 90, and it's obviously designed to operate there and does so quite proficiently.

Good to know from a non Magazine source that it does feel safe at high speeds even if it was in simulation mode. ;)

At that speed, it should be a stimulation exercise. :D

I think there is a video on Youtube of a Korean hoon who floors a Genesis on a freeway to max velocity while holding the video camera in one hand. I assumed it was a V6 because the V8 is slow being launched.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
That video is of a 3.3L and since it is in Korea I am thinking they are less likely to add a speedl imiter on it since there probably are not as much a "Nany State" as the US.
