1. The cars are made in Korea, by people who do not work for the UAW.
2. The "made" date would be the assembly date, which would mainly affect things like fit and finish. AFAIK, no one has complained about fit or finish of their car. The only assembly problem that I heard about on this forum was a loose cooling system hose (or something similar) that became detached.
3. The engine, transmission, and all other components (many from outside companies) are made separately, and we don't know when they are made.
4. Many of the problems are software problems, since computers control just about everything from the engine, transmission, audio, Bluetooth, etc.
5. The vast majority of problems are design problems. The car is assembled correctly, but maybe not designed the best possible way. I would like to know what day the North American suspension was designed and approved, as I am suspecting that the engineers were still hung-over or stoned from the weekend (or maybe they party every day in Southern California).
