For what it's worth.....I did my best to break in the car as the manual says. It directed one to keep the RPMs between 2000-4000 the first 600 miles. The only way to do that in city traffic is to use the manual mode and one would rarely see above 4th gear at speeds under 40mph. Unfortunately I discovered that the up or down shifting takes upwards of a full second after moving the lever. My little old Sonata turbo I traded on the R-Spec was nearly instantaneous. Regardless, if someone wants to make some money and has the knowledge and ability one should consider making a "Chip" for the transmission. I'm told transmissions have their own ECUs.(?) The 4.6 V8 I test drove seemed to have the same problem. Forgive me, I'm just complaining out loud but the silly thought came to my little old brain.
