  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

RaceChip - RaceChip GTS Black

Update - they sent me a new GTS Black and it corrected the Bluetooth issue. Works great! I can definitely feel a difference in the stock vs Sport setting on the GTS Black.

I'm scared my motor would blow up, any concerns? Because I want that extra power!

The system is an in-line second ECU that reads the data and tells the system to add more boost and fuel. It looks at cam timing and air intake volume and adjusts accordingly. Very simple, but very tunable. I went on a road trip a few weeks ago and had it in Eco mode. Cruising on the interstate yielded 26mpg. I've never gotten 26mpg in this car before.

When running around town, I keep it in the "sport" setting on the GTS box and it is very noticeable regarding torque and response.

My $0.02...It's worth the money.

Hey Winged,

I'm curious about getting this modification. I'd like to ask since it's been a month or so from this quoted post, how is everything holding up with the vehicle? Any changes in reliability you've noticed? I'm strongly considering doing this down the line, but am naturally a bit nervous. Aside from the GTS black itself, what other modifications have you added? Were they necessary to help ensure better safety and reliability of the modification from GTS? I realize these are quite a few questions, but I'd be most grateful for your input!

Hey Guys new here just bought 2020 Genesis G80 sport 3.3t, I LOVE it!!!

You guys will likely be laughing at my question here.

Looking at getting the racechip gts for the added power.....My son has a stang 5.0 and would like to make him whine a lil... :p So I would love the added power when I really want it.

Now for the part where you all start laughing, because what is holding me up from the purchase is knowing whether or not if I leave it in standard mode, if I can run 87 octane and only have to buy 92 or higher when I want to run sports mode????......... (Laughter starts)...

My old Indian name is squeaks when walks and this is my daily driver for my commute, soooo with gas prices being where they are....how much money I spend on gas is in directly conflict to my will to beat my son in a race. :D

Has anyone used the RaceChip GTS? Wanting to get something but like to know actual thoughts of other owners first.
Recently purchased the GTS Black for my 2020 G80 3.3t sport.
I would but another in a second.
Before the race chip my sons 2016 5.0 Mustang would walk me in 3rd gear......not any more.
I do not have a dyno, but would venture that I'm pushing 380/90 to the wheels.

Had a slight miss at 5700/6k rpms at 1st. Opened a ticket with Racechip and in two days had a new tune on the car.
Many might say JB4 is better and maybe so, if ya want to dyno and tune yourself, but I'm very pleased with the results from Racechip.

I bought the GTS Black for my 2018 G80 Sport. Had it tested on the AWD dyno this morning. Here are my results. I included SAE and STD numbers.
Pull 1 is the Sport mode on the RaceChip
Pull 2 is the Race Mode on the RaceChip
Pull 3 is completely Stock
(I do have K&N air filters installed and 93 octane Shell gas)

THOUGHTS on was it worth the $850 for the GTS Black? (I'm still grinning!)
I recently installed the GTS Black on my 2019 G80 3.3t and I love it. Taking a look at The Winged 2015’s dyno results, attached, shows why this tune works so well for daily driving. Although the peak gains are only about 40hp and 60ft-lbs at the rear wheels, the key is in how both the hp and torque curves are shifted lower in the rpm band. Looking at the torque curve at 2000 rpm the available torque increases from about 270 ft-lbs to 430 ft-lbs, or +160 ft-lbs. That’s huge in the typical stoplight to stoplight traffic in which I typically drive. Really brings the car to life. Also explains the disparity in claimed gains with this tune…it depends on where in the rev range you’re looking.

What a beast machine.

A Racechip GTS Black recently installed on a 2019 G80 3.3t resulted in the following turbo boost values.
Stock (Racechip turned off): 12 psi
Sport, Map 6: 15 psi
Race, Map 7: 17 psi
Posting for a friend. ;)

Which knn filters do you have? Just the drop in box filters or a cai?
