  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Centre rear headrest in my Genesis doesn't lower fully leaving about a one inch gap between the bottom of the headrest and the seat. Does anybody else have this problem?

yes same on mine. I think that is how it was designed. Although I wish it would go down lower as it blocks the view in the rear view mirror.

Same issue with mine. I will never carry some one in the center rear seat, so I pulled it and put in my walk-in closet up on a shelf.

It's a lot easier to see out the back now!:)

You did realize you can rotate it to be flatter/horizontal, right? In that position, it doesn't really block the rear view unless you're on the short side (no offense intended), I suppose?

Ditto... I never noticed the center seats head rest blocking my view. I then had the windows tinted and the mechanic must have hit the button. As I was driving home I noticed that I did not have visibility like before. Stopped in a parking lot and was going to pull off the center head rest when I noticed the button on the side of the head rest. Nice touch. Hyundai was thinking on this one :D

Yes, I know about the 'rotate' feature and the headrest is in its lowest horizontal position, but it still sits a little high and partially blocks the view rearward. No biggie, but annoying nevertheless. I'm wondering if shortening the support posts by an inch would fix the problem and allow the headrest to sit flush with the seat-back?

I would just remove it. If you plan on taking more that (3) passengers then re-install it. My back seat will never be used but now that I have it in the lower position, I can see fine. I am 6.1 so my position in the front seat most likely gets me higher than you.

took mine off second day we had it , if we drive with 3 people in the back probably won't put it back

... and now I'll have to check it. I'm practically a dwarf - literally - and I have not noticed any rear window blockage and I think I would have. But I will check it now and report if I recognize this problem.

Yes. We have same issue. Thinking about pulling it out.

I’m 5’10” sooo average height and have no issue seeing out my rear window with the headrest lowered and rotated ...
