Rebadging Genesis "Winged" hood emblem

I bought Genesis winged emblems from ebay and got them delevired this morning. I found instructions on this website on how to install the trunk badge. Any input on how to install badge on the hood.
Since there are no holes in the hood. Do I have to cut the protruting pins from the badge. Also, how much higher should the badge from hood edge.
Is it better to have them installed by the dealer or a autobody shop? Not sure if my dealer will do it.

Cut or grind off the platic pins off the hood emblem
