  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm looking for the brightest possible LED back up lights.
Any recommendations from personal experience would be appreciated

Also try Autolumination.com. TONS of bulbs to choose from

I got the CREE 5W reverse lights from diodedynamics for my sedan. They are the stage 2 upgrade for $59.99. Coupes are the same. Ridiculously bright. Although I'm not sure how I like the fact you can see the bulb in the clear housing, since it is twice as long and looks yellow when not lit up.

Wonder if the ones in the link above are worth the extra 40 bucks. Same wattage rating.

http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/ has good prices, and fast shipping. At the moment, i am using led cree smd. Think they were Q7. They are bright, even looking through 5% tint, and tinted tail lights. But, still not bright enough for my tastes. In the next couple weeks when it gets a little warmer outside, i am going to retrofit a set of 6000k hids. But, going to take it 1 step further. They will be hooked up so when the car goes into reverse, they come on as normal. But heres the fun part...i will be hooking up a switch to turn them on when ever i want as well. Just to piss off those people that like to ride my ass, even though i am already way above the speed limit.

Just to give ya an idea... lol

Be nice to have that capability but don't let the law see that they would not be happy.

Oh i know. But how often do people ride other cars bumpers when cops are around? Besides, i wouldnt turn them on and leave them on. Would be a quick 2-3 second flash. Just enough to let the guy know im not playing. Lol
