  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Remote start

Nothing significant, just a few minor issues:
  • Remote start requires you to press the "Lock" button on the keyfob twice, but with a pause in between presses. On occasion, I won't pause for long enough to get it to work properly - but 9 times out of 10, it works perfectly fine.
  • Once the car is started remotely, it does happen on occasion where the auto unlock functionality doesn't sync up. In those instances, I have to revert back to manually unlock the car using the button on the door handle...like a peasant .
The one thing I do wish is that the auto unlock feature had an option to open all doors (vs driver only). However, I have experienced zero issues that are deal breakers...in fact, the first one should most likely be considered "user error". Overall, very happy with the module!
- I agree with most all above from DAYTA. You do need to pause a second or 2 in between the 1st and 2nd pressing of the lock.
- I think my car unlocks all doors upon approach, so it might the same as the 2-press unlock feature in your user settings. When remotely started, my car never auto unlocks, so I just hit the button, like a peasant. LOL.
- Install is pretty easy, but tucking the module out of the way was a little be of a PITA.
- An issue that I had, maybe have, is when the temp is around, or below ZERO (very cold), I had to try 2 or 3 times, before it started. Otherwise works great. Blue LInk is great but about $200.00 a year, so I tried the mykey and I feel it's worth the money.

Hey all,

I contacted Accessorides as I wanted a legit 2 way system. They got back to me that they'd get one going and sure enough, ordered mine yesterday.

You can use promo code NY2023 (worked as of 2/13/2023) for 15% off.

I'll follow up with how the install goes; seems pretty straight forward.

Very cool. How does it compare to mykeypremium?

The MyKeyPremium kit only works with the OEM fob, which means whatever distance that has is what you're limited to. I'm used to Compustar 2 way remotes that have a 1500 foot range or more (assuming direct line of site), and really wanted that functionality.

You have 4 options with Accessorides that change the price slightly: OEM fob only, ancillary 1 way fob, ancillary 2 way fob, or phone app control (requires yearly subscription). I went with the 2 way fob kit as it states it works up to 2500 feet away, and total after discount was $348.

Did you do anything else after you installed it like setting the pin?

I wonder for those with out the key fob remote start. There was a "hack" for a diff car. That has remote start in the system but not in the trim models. They would purchase a key fob for the model that offers fob remote start. And program that fob to the car. And the car would start
So what I mean is. The 2020+ with key fob remote start might work for the 2019 body style since the ecu actually has remote start from the app. But the fob used for the 2019 doesn't. If one was to get a 2020+fob and program it to the 2019. The car might start.

I think this was achieved for Honda.
