  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Replacement for 2015 Genny 2G V8

So at 1100 miles I had the tires replaced with Michelin tires as the result of the recall. Both the old set and new set have really bad flat spots on them after sitting only a few hours. It is not dependent on temperature or tire inflation. Makes me think its the car and not the tires. Dealership service (which totally sucks (0-3 on maintenance visits) says "what do you expect its a heavy car". All my Volvo s were "really" heavy and never did I experience this. From almost day one I have had the air conditioning stink. Dealership can't fix it they just spray the intakes. I keep a can of Lysol in the garage and give it a spray every once in a while. The sunroof creaks and rattles almost constantly. The uneven tires accentuate this even more. I will say I like the tech on this car. The controller is amazing but my overall experience with this car is very poor. The dealer service can't do anything right so from a premium experience I'm missing it with the car and the service. So as I said I"m moving on as quickly as I can.

That's unfortunate, I've had none of these issue, save for the sunroof creaking, but its only in extreme cold when the seals are frozen, which is understandable.

Your tire issue doesn't sound like a vehicle problem though. It sounds like a tire that is not correctly load rated for the vehicle. My tires have been fine, both the All Season Michelin MXM4 Primacy's that come on it, and the Minerva Eco Stud tires I bought for the winter. On all of my tires the load rating is over 100 though. I think the Minervas I have on now are 101, and if I'm not mistaken the Michelins are 104 load rated.

The sunroof creaks and rattles almost constantly.
When the May hailstorm hit, the sunroof was the first thing to go - smashed into little tiny pieces

I purposely never used it even once to avoid problems and I still had problems. The glass is 1/6 inches thick - easily broken.

I don't have the ultimate & shades are one of the sillier things on the car. But even my old Sonata has heated seats.

I have to disagree with you on the shades, but our situations may be different. The shades are amazing for us because we have a baby in the car and they provide an elegant and built-in solution for cutting out the glare and heat, letting the baby rest/sleep more easily on bright days. They also give a bit more privacy if you need to change the diaper in the car.

Without a baby, I don't know if they're as useful.
