  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

I am unable to lock the doors of my GV60 without the key fob. Use case: someone else unloads the crap out of my car after a long vacation/drive and I go in the house. Normally a person can hit the Lock Door button inside the car to lock the doors, shut the door, and the car is secure. Is that how it works with the GV60 or is mine faulty?

Once most cars switched to app control, this seems to be common. You still should be able to remote lock via mobile if the above isn't customizable.

He cannot use facial recognition if he is in the house. :D He could use the remote functions on the key fob. You'd be surprised how far the signal can reach.

So now that I know that is normal operation, I can compensate for that. She hit the button, heard the relay click, and assumed it locked like all of the other cars she ever had. And since it was never locked, the Genesis app didn't tell me my vehicle was unlocked.

There is a lock button on the back of the tailgate when you go to lower it. If you press that when the tailgate lowers all the doors will lock.
That’s the only way I know of aside from using your fob

You can store two faces in the system. My son is the one that accesses the car most - aside from me - so his face is stored. No fingerprint, though. :)

Can't you just press the marked lines on the door handle after you close it? That's what I do....but I usually have the fob.

I am back. I couldn't log into this website for over a week after I tried to Upload the Battery Management System issues paperwork solutions after my car was service. If you guys want the paperwork just provide me an email I'll send it directly to you.

I am going to type it out here. It will be multiple pages. So the website doesn't crash. Hopefully I wasn't the one that crash the server from my last time trying to upload the documents.

Has anyone got the message after they use the electrify charging station. Warning battery discharge on there dash. I'm not an engineer so no clue what that means? Probably going to contact the Genesis dealership tomorrow and ask about it. Then will post what they say here.

I live in California where we deal with Fire Ash, Rain, Snow (in the Mountains), Fog; &, rarely, Sleet. Thus, as a VERY PICKY DRIVER who DEMANDS VERY HIGH QUALITY & LUXURIOUS VEHICLES, like Infiniti & BMW, I demand that a REAR WIPER be added to the GV60. Also, REMOVE THAT STUPID & UNSAFE STRIPE that is in the rear window, as seen through the Rear-View Mirror. To me, that is even more annoying & unsafe than not having the Rear Wiper. Finally, ALLOW APPLE CAR-PLAY to ACTIVATE, WITHOUT HAVING TO PLUG-IN A USB CABLE. Really, Cables are so OLD-FASHIONED in this wonderful Blue-Tooth age. Once all 3 of these problems are solved, I will trade my 2023 GV60 in for the updated model. By the way, these are the 3 main problems I noticed, simply by performing a Test Drive in a QV60. Since I am now switching from a Tesla Model 3, to a Genesis GV60, I EXPECT MORE, like my Infiniti & BMW already have. FYI, my Tesla M3 also has slightly FASTER ACCELERATION than the GV60, which is also disappointing! Once I receive my new one, I will be able to better elaborate on any additional issues I fine.

Why don't you just sell it?

Some valid concerns and criticism here, but I think you vastly discounted and undervalued everything else the GV60 brings to the table. Nearly everything you mentioned have not been a problem throughout the course of my daily driving, and the CarPlay issue can be very easily resolved with an wireless adapter.

Compared to the Tesla, the GV60 is in an entire league above the build, ride, and comfort of any Tesla on the road.

Compared to the iX, the GV60 interior has many aspects that are more luxurious, costs $30k less when comparably equipped, and does not have the same overgrown beaver teeth.

Compared to the Infiniti EV.... oh wait, there is no Infiniti EV. Even compared to a normal Infiniti, the GV60 interior feels like it's at least half a decade ahead.

I hear your complaints, but I just don't think they are objectively fair to the GV60.

The iX is a true SUV with a 345 mile range at 70mph (2022 BMW iX xDrive50: InsideEVs 70 MPH Range Test) which is 100 more than the GV60. They aren't comparable... for many reasons. Also the iX is $40K more.

The GV60 and i4 are directly comparable. The i4 doesn't have a rear wiper either but has wireless CarPlay.

You should probably part it out.

This seems more about your satisfaction with the feature list than problems with the vehicle.

No vehicle in this price range is bespoke, so none of us will have a 100% match to what we'd ideally have in a vehicle - we all have to make some compromise. If the GV60 included all the 'fixes' we've griped about within this forum, it would cost much more than it does.

Your complaints here are substantial. I'm very curious as to how/why you purchased a car when you're so unsatisfied with the features. The things you've mentioned are things you should have been aware of before closing on the purchase. This seems a little like ranting about how small and underpowered your Smart Car is, or how loud, expensive and impractical a Lamborghini is after you've purchased.
