Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

Used to live right by you in Long Hill Township where there are also few street lights, and the cornering lights on my Porsche Macan were excellent such as when turning into a dark driveway etc. Wonder why we don't see that feature available on more cars. Overall the GV60 headlights are pretty decent, but the cornering lights are one of those features you don't appreciate until you've experienced it.

Also had a BMW where I was able to turn on (via coding) the Matrix type headlights you now see on more and more European cars. Given the GV60 is sold in Europe I wonder if the headlights are actually Matrix capable but the feature is turned off in North America. Or perhaps we have different headlight units here?

Funny how you see little if any discussion about hacking into features like that on Hyundai/Kia/Genesis enthusiast forums like this as you do with BMW and Porsche.

I traded in a BMW 530e for the GV60 Performance. I also had the BMW coded for the lighting and for some other features as well. I don't think that the Genesis is subject to coding like the BMWs.

I live in Northern California, no snow or very cold weather. The GV60 is 6 months old. I hardly drive. I only have about 1100 miles the car. I just started to notice the noise on the rear rotors when backing up. For the first 5 months I had been using regen 3 and i pedal for a little while. Using regen 3 or i pedal I did not had to step on the brakes very much. This last month I started to us "auto" regen and have been using the brakes a lot more. Don't know if this really means anything as a reason as to the noise in the rear brakes. I do notice that once I drive the car for a little while and step on the brakes a few times the noise will go away. I suspect I will again hear the noise the next time I use the car and back it up.

Set the regen braking to level 0, it cleans the rotors.

On first attempt I get green circle but no unlock. Have to get another successful green circle for it to unlock. Anyone else having this issue?

I was excited to get get the US genesis App here in Canada but I'm happy with what I have since I'm not having any of those issues. More so related with the vehicle, ie plastic melting smell when the heater runs.

That is unfortunate but I have been on a waiting list for a Lucid Air Pure for a year and a half and the Lucid folks would kill to have these as their software glitches. Hopefully Genesis will fix this soon.

I cleaned all of them.
It tells me to check my digital mirror.

Not sure where you're located, but I'm in the US and we have regular side mirrors. There should be cameras/sensors on those as well. If you have the cameras instead of mirrors then yeah I'd clean those as well. Maybe check the manual for associated fuses as well and then check the fuse box(es).

I don't have anything past the basic troubleshooting unfortunately, might be worth a dealer trip if you can't find anything in the manual.

#1 I also have a really weird glitch (not sure if it's just me) but every morning I find out my car is unlocked despite me never unlocking the car. Not sure if it's me (I use digital key on my samsung phone to unlock and drive the car with UWB [ultra wide band])) or if the car is doing something weird. I'm going to probably put a camera to keep an eye on my car and see if I can catch at what exact time the car unlocks. It doesn't happen all the time and I could have sworn that I locked the car before getting into my house.
#2 @CarsJubilee also mention that for whatever reason, I cannot start climate control from the samsung wallet app (using UWB) but I can lock/unlock the doors, sound the horn. There's a button for climate control in the samsung wallet app but everytime I click it nothing happens, even if I lock the car first it just adds 2 flashes to the amber lights and the climate control doesn't kick on.
#3 When I start the car and my wife was the last person to drive, the car changes to my profile (using digital key of course) but the car doesn't change seating position until I either manually press my manual seat memory on the door OR I switch to her profile and then back to mine. I also have had bugs where the car doesn't automatically change to my profile.

Can you possibly share that corporate contact? I have a wishlist of changes I want to ask as an OTA for this car.

My gut reaction was that you had software for another region. I think that is an HDA2 feature, and we do t have HDA2 in Canada, so it’s looking for sensors that aren’t on the car.

I actually updated the firmware after the issue presented itself.

I have an appointment tomorrow with the dealership and they will let me know what’s wrong

Interesting about the Samsung as key issues, I've been very jealous (pixel phone owner) and keep waiting for them to add compatibility but I've heard a mix bag of reviews on it. Customer care may direct you to the connected services hotline, I haven't tried reaching out to them yet for my app issues.

I have the same issue with the memory seating in my gv60 and ioniq 5 where it doesn't automatically revert to the memory seat setting tied to profile or key. Luckily it doesn't bother me too much since I can hit the memory seat button but definitely something worth raising as an issue.

Mine (seat positions per profile) started working after I did an OTA and then manual system update.

Hmm now I'm debating whether I should do the manual update or have the dealer do it (have an appt with them but it's a month away)
