Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

Had a new issue yesterday.
The passenger side climate system was not providing any air through the vents. The driver side and the rear seat were getting air just fine.
I toggled the "driver only" back and forth, sync/no sync, auto/manual modes, manually enabled/disabled flows (body/legs), nothing helped. I even restarted the car at a traffic light to no avail.
Once we arrived at our destination after 20 minutes, I turned on climate from the phone app and then turned it off. When we got back to the car an hour later it was working normally again. I do not know whether the app access is what fixed it, or just the time.

Prior to the factory reset issue it worked fine. I also checked my current presets In the settings menu that the liftgate is set to open automatically.

Mine was unchecked- the smart lift gate. One I checked it, it began working.

I have two new problems. The first is my voice recognition refused to work for two days, then starting the car today, it worked. The next is a dark spot, or light spot on my right side mirror camera display. When the turn signal is on, a small spot appears in the display, close to the door side of the display. The first couple days, it was just a black spot, but it has just lightened to a blurry spot. Really weird. Nothing I cannot wait for next service to have looked at though.

Is it a camera artifact or could something be on the camera lens?

The lens has been wiped and examined a few times, I did not notice anything.

I checked the lens again, using a UV light, there was some schmutz on the lens, Wiped it off with some 99% alcohol, seems as though everything is better now. Weird that the first few times that I wiped the lens, it did not come off. But hey, thanks, it is good to go.

Alcohol is a handy tool to have handy. As the old commercial said "I put that sh@t on everything."

Driving along minding my own business, listening to SXM, a good song came on and I used the steering wheel volume control to raise the volume from 30 to about 45, I was toggling up a few times....when the volume went to 75! That's the max. The toggle down displayed the volume being turned down 75, 74, 73, 73, then it went right back up to 75. I then tried the volume wheel on the console and same thing. The volume went down slightly for a moment, then right back up to 75. I had to turn the radio off completely. Two minutes later I worked up the nerve to try it again and the volume worked fine.

I mean, I like the Eurythymics, but I prefer not going deaf.

I was about to suggest that if it was Sweet Dreams, it would almost be worth the price, but then that would mean you could never listen to it again.

One bizarre and annoying thing that happened to me recently is that the lumbar support adjustment on my seat was repeatedly increasing to the max, and then decreasing. All this without me touching the lumbar control or the massage control. Fortunately, it stopped doing it eventually.

Were you driving for a while? Not sure if this is what happened, but there is a setting where it will turn on the seat movement. I think it's called anti fatigue or something. Even when I have my massage turned off, sometimes this occurs on the highway. I like it, but maybe that's not what happened i in your case.

Mine has been terrific. I did have the recall. I think the biggest concern is your dealership. Do you have a trustworthy dealership near you?

No GV60 vehicle issues would dissuade me.

The price/relative value might give me pause, and if you plan to road trip, the sorry state of the EA network is a cause for concern.

Still and all, it’s a really nice vehicle, and we’d buy it again given the opportunity.

Mine has been with me a year and 10k and almost NO problems. I had a button that was sticky and they replaced it. I do have to go in for the axle recall but I am not affected apparently as I have been MORE than rough on the car and had no issues there either. I had a small software update glitch but that was my fault for not buying the appropriate flash drive It has been resolved. I would SOOO buy it again.

I had the steering wheel buttons die on me 5 times in the last two months.
That means no cruise control, no steering assist, and no way to change the cluster display. Adaptive cruise control on a busy freeway is a great feature both for safety and fatigue.
I hope this will be fixed soon, but not sure how realistic that hope is.
Is that bad enough to dissuade someone from buying the car? It depends. If I commuted 30 miles each way every day it might have. With my short, off-freeway, commute I guess I'd still buy the car even with this annoying issue.

They should....
But reports of service have been phenomenally spotty. From an absolute sh@tshow nightmare to brilliant. So if something goes wrong, you need to be sure that the mechanics near you are willing and capable.

I'm so glad you asked this, I have been reading this forum for the last 2 weeks and slowly regretting my decision to reserve a GV60 Advanced. But seeing the responses has made me feel a bit less nervous today.
My local dealer is 60 miles away, but also very well rated/recommended so hopefully if we do encounter issues there won't be a lot of drama.
