  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My wife has a 2010 Genesis sedan (I have an 09 Sonata). One thing we don't like on the Genesis is the dash display. In big bold letters is the word Genesis (we know what we are driving) and under that in tiny little alphanumerics is the rest of the information. I almost have to put my glasses on to see it.

Does any one know if the display can be reprogramed to increase the size of the information that is useful, NOT the advertisement!

You are lucky. On the Tech Pkg, the "Genesis" in large print is only on for about two seconds. The Tech screen goes to something else. If I want everything else off, the screen defaults to the Nav Screen. Now, when I want everything else off, Radios, Nav Screen, etc. and just want peace and quiet, I put it on the Climate (Info) Screen. (at least I think that is what it is called without going out to look in the car). This is the screen that tells me how strong the fan is blowing, and which vents the air is coming from.

I would love to be able to have just the large "Genesis" show on the screen.

On the tech, you can have a blank screen if you want. The only problem is you have to dig in the menus to find it. I do exactly what you do, put it on the "info" screen.
