Curious to find out if road and tire noise are reduced or increased with this mod, since the purpose of a sub-frame is isolation--tightly coupling the subframe to car defeats its purpose. At least that would seem to be the case. The page link to "What is Rigid Collar" makes the dubious claim that noise is reduced. The salient effects may be simply re-torquing the bolts.

If you want to go whole hog, one could re-do the bushings on the suspension with bronze instead of rubber--but get ready for a whole new world of road and tire noise.

Tomi Varga of ATQ just posted a picture in the facebook page "Genesis Sedan Owners Club (U.S.A.)" with a caption that says somebody with a 2015-2016 5.0 Sedan just confirmed fitment and had their collars installed.

Are you part of this forum?

If so, what are your thoughts on the collars so far. From the picture, your car looks stock but I could be wrong.

Just curious on somebody else's opinion.

Guys,
I went yesterday to ATQ Automotive Parts located in Cambridge Ontario. I was greeted by the owner Tomi Varga who was nice enough to install the collars on my car.
Tomi is a very nice guy with very good knowledge of automotive industry. He proceeded with installing the collars and explained every step of the procedure.
The 5.0 sub frame however has a different bolt configuration compared to 3.8
-The front sub frame has 2 welded OEM sleeves in place. These will not take any collars.
-The second row of collars (the ones close to driver's and passenger's doors) are in the same spots as in 3.8 but the holes are slightly smaller therefore ATQ will include the correct sized collars in their updated kit (my car was a test fit).
- The rest of 4 collars (rear) are the same as in 3.8 so no problems whatsoever installing them.
In conclusion 5.0 take only 6 collars distributed as follows: 2 in the front and 4 in the rear as opposed to 3.8 which takes 6 collars in the front and 4 in the rear.
Prior to this installation my car was a little too bouncy while going over uneven pavement. This is gone now. I was suspecting before the side wall of my tires being too soft. Boy I was wrong!
The car feels a lot more solid and mitigates the bumpy roads a lot better than before.
The ride is also better in terms of stability - no jerky movements whatsoever.
I am very happy with the results.
For Canadian owners: if you need to get these collars professionally installed do not waste your time doing the guess work, just get in touch with Tomi Varga from ATQ Automotive Products and he will do it for you in 1 hour.
Tomi also has in stock the updated set of collars for 5.0

I am very happy with them. Did not think it would make such a difference.
I got mine installed by Tomi from ATQ (see my previous post)

I see ATQ put up a part number for the 5.0 so I took the plunge and just ordered them. Plan on installing them myself and hope I see the big changes everyone has been reporting. This is a heavy ass car and I can see how things might move around without the collars.

Is it possible for you or someone else that does this to take pics of where these collars are actually to be installed and even better if ATQ could have a set of detailed instructions with pics of where each of what collar goes where on both the 3.8 and 5.0 car. This IMO would open up the amount of interest and be more profitable to ATQ just from a demand standpoint. This is definitely on my 'TO DO" list since based as I said on my past experience with these on my 2013 Sonata they made a world of difference in both handling and especially "ROAD FEEL" with that vehicle and can't wait to get them installed on my Genny.

I can't remember who made the ones for the Sonata, but there were instructions with pics of where each collar and type/size went which was a HUGE PLUS and made installation a breeze and definitely a DIY mod.

Sure, it isn't that $300 ......it's the 20k+ I already spent om my toys, passed 18 months
