  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Noticed the other day that the car has a noticably rougher idle while in drive but not while in park. I'm taking it to the shop for new tires and breaks tomorrow, any suggestions for potential issues they could check while they have the car? Thanks in advance!

Also is there any other general maintenance I should have them look out for? The car has 88k miles, I was going to have them check the spark plugs, should I have the brake/transmission fluids flushed as well?

This reminds me of a TPS issue, throttle position sensor. I had this once with my wife's 2001 Durango in 2007.

My 2014 was still under warranty at 88K (2017) miles so I did the transmission drain and service (no flush capabilities that I am aware of) and also the differential drain and service. I am probably overdue right now at 236,800 miles but I have purchased a new transmission pan/filter combination with new hardware a while ago. Unfortunately, some work needs, grandchildren and parent and in-law medical needs and care have taken priority. Use good fuel and Techron (I learned this from the Genesis "Guru's" here on the forum). My oil gets changed every 3-4K miles with semi-synthetic oil since knew and I only use Wix filters.

Same problem for me , i had a p0017 came and After replacing both oil control valves as well as the crankshaft position sensor, we’re now thinking the issue might be with the CVVTs. So I’ll probably have to replace the timing chain.
If you figure out the problem before I do, please let me know!
