  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi

I took the car in for its first oil change today and asked the dealer to also change the lamps for the high beams and the position lamps.

As an aside, Daniel Stern recommended a 65W Osram bulb for the high beams and I asked them to install these for the position lamps.

After they forgot to install the position lamps and failed to seat the connector on one of the high beams, I finally got out of there after three hours. After getting home I pop the hood and find five plastic fasteners and a bolt missing from the plastic fascia at the front of the engine compartment.:mad: They are the ones with the center pop-down button.

Does anyone have a source for OEM Hyundai plastic fasteners? I can't seem to find them on the web.

Thanks

Hyundai really needs a dealer QA program. After the great service I get from my dealer (Ourisman in Laurel, MD), as well as favorable reports from lots of other owners, I'm appalled at some to the horror stories coming in from other parts of the country.

So are you going to tell the story of how they screwed up your oil change or not? (Your subject title.)

He did ! --- He said he had a rough time at dealer. They screwed up the lights, and lost his connectors for the fascia. Not necessarily the oil change itself was screwed up. I would be pissed too!

BTW OP - call the dealer and have them mail the connectors to you. Crap like that can be expensive. I had to buy some for my Lexus and I think they cost me $2.75 apiece!

Will do.

i recommend getting ganstah with your parts department. you'll get want you want and you should demand a refund, too.

Followup.
Had a pleasant chat who ordered the missing parts, installed them and said sorry.
Very civilized.

Get even...Why not too, let the dealer know that you'll provide this feedback to Hyundai America....Dealers only want good feedback so that they will gain preference with the latest models...
