  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rspec Bigger/Better brake pads

Agreed - the Genny OEM brakes are good enough for me.

I have no problem with the stopping power of my Genesis either although I'm not autocrossing it but merely driving it to and from work. Only brake upgrade I would do is mainly for aesthetics like a Futura BBK or similar.

Same here. I find the stopping power of the stock brakes to be very good, considering the heft of the vehicle.

Did they increase the size of the fronts in 2013? The calipers look pretty big...

+1 on the Red Stuff pads, Rey.

Performed the same swap, along with a set of Goodridge steel brake lines on my '09 G8 solely because I felt the brakes were lacking grip. The car had just 4K miles on it.

Whoa! What a difference, especially in initial bite. This sure beat spending the $1,800.00 for the big brake kit.

I would recommend this upgrade to anyone. Word of caution: Bed them in correctly, lest ye enjoy brake noise.

Those of you that have upgraded the brake pads. Any changes on your initial impressions? I have had my 4.6 for about 3 months and I'm driving it like a madman but as good as the OEM brakes are I'd like a little more stopping power for this heavy ass car.
