Hi guys. Sorry for late reply. Work took over for a few days.
With my $800 brake upgrade, I was dissappointed in their performance. By that, I mean they worked GREAT for the first two "braking zones" then faded. I had to drive most of the track with no brakes around 10 more turns before they came back. Keep in mind, I'm at 130mph braking HARD before hairpen turns. But I had put in racing brake fluid, stainless steel lines, racing rotors and racing pads.
Common sense is...this car is 4000+ pounds and it will take 6 piston calipers to properly slow this car down. I know the new 650hp
Cobra Mustang and ZL1 Camaro are not fairing any better. In fact, one SS Camaro with upgrades lost brakes and went WAY OFF track.
The Rspec performed above average everywhere else. It's not a race car and it does not have BMW suspension, but it was a blast to drive. Very predictable to handle as you could tell from the drifts and apexing. Great power and just a ton of fun. The 8sp transmission was flawless and the Rspec is the best sedan for the money in my opinion! Had all the BMW guys coming over and saying, "I have been hearing about these cars." .......
Tires were okay, but definitely would have been much better to have summer tires vs my all seasons. Made the drifting videos easier though. My tires seem to last forever. I have done burnouts, track session and have 24,000 miles on them and they look great!
