  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I really like the saddle interior, I just have to say that. I wanted a black interior initially but after living with the car for a few month, I can say that the saddle impresses me more everyday.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You have good taste my friend.

You folks in the US are lucky, we can't get the saddle interior at all in Canada. I would love to have the saddle interior in my Titanium 2010.:(

I initially wanted saddle but after working for UPS for 30 years- it was too close to "that" color-so I ended up with cashmere.

I had trouble deciding between Black/saddle and Titanium/saddle. i went with black/saddle but the titanium/saddle is absolutely beautiful. It's a very unique combination as well. You don't see many of those around.

I think the white, blue, and red Genesis would look good with saddle as well.

I think white and saddle would be sweet too but the black on the Genesis was just too sexy to pass up. I wasn't very interesting in the Genesis appearance wise until the recent refresh and it's really a big upgrade with a few not huge changes.

I'm using 303 aerospace protectant on it and it gives it a slightly darker and matte finish. This is a product I got recommend after getting this car and it really made what was nice even nicer.

I'm not a huge fan of the saddle seats... but black seats with saddle dash and door inserts I think looks AWESOME.

My $0.02

Yes- with R SPEC embroidery on the passenger side leather dash.

I can't handle Black. I chose cashmere. I do like stitched brown on top with the cashmere. I have bought an Azera for my grandaughter. White with camel interior. Hard to find. The only one I could find is 120 miles away. Either the dealers are not getting many Azeras or they are selling fast. My Genny is White with cashmere. Everyone in my family has white cars. In Texas the good guys wear white hats.

I'm with you, but didn't know there was a choice on getting black seats. I thought they all came with saddle seats. Can you 'splain?
Not really...

It seems to me that early in the Genesis life cycle (2009, 2010), Hyundai was shipping different combinations to random dealers - for instance, saddle interior with black seats, wood-panel dashboard trim instead of leather, etc etc. No idea if these were region-specific choices, or what.

Some were trim level choices (base, premium package or tech package). Others may have been US or Canada specific in the earlier years.

Bringing out the AED to bring this topic back from the dead.

Could you get the Saddle interior with brown seats in an R-spec?

Wood trim (plastic) dash has always been on Base Trim models, except in Canada where it was also on Premium Package (and maybe Tech Package, don't recall). I think in more recent years, for the models that have plastic dash, the wood trim color has gotten a lot darker in color.

Combo Saddle/Black interiors were discontinued when Hyundai said a focus group did not like it.

All of this is documented in previous (but old) posts on this forum.

I had the black seats with the saddle dash and door trim on my 2009 Genesis. Really liked it. It seem to break up all the black. Kinda wish they had it when I got my 2012 Genesis rspec.

Not interested in the Saddle with Black seats I prefer the Saddle with Brown seats but it doesn't look like it was ever offered for an R-Spec in any year.

Do any R-Specs exist with the Saddle interior?

Let me dig up an oldish thread. If I were to go buy a 2014 R Spec tomorrow, the 1st thing I would do is order up the Saddle door and dash leather pieces and replace the black. TOO MUCH BLACK in the new one's IMO. I'm a little surprised that no one has actually done this. Maybe the pieces are mucho $.

I have an AU color car with black interior and saddle door/dash. Love it but wish I had saddle seats..

Ouch! I'm a little confused though -
PARTS: Part included with door trim panel.
So does this mean the door panel is $500 which would include all required pieces to be considered a finished panel? Either way, that's crazy. I did manage to find this part on Partshyundai.com, but the specific leather panels on the dash and doors were not actually listed for sale or with a price....but numbered:confused: Part number 22 in picture I think. Unless, the arrow is pointing at the chrome trim around the leather part???
