Today I brought the Genesis in for vibration coming from the armrest at about 30 mph. Already had the driveshaft replaced a few months ago and the vibration is now worse than before the replacement.
Was told by the service manager that they had another Genesis in with the same issue, and that Hyundai Engineering had just notified them of a fix for the car that involved "spacers in the drive shaft". He told me that the parts for the other car were on order and as long as my car was an affected VIN they should be able to apply the fix to my car.
The service manager didn't have any more information than that, but they've given me a Kona as a loaner while they investigate further.
Sounds like this dealership has replaced a ton of driveshafts with the same issue, and even they are getting a little sick of replacing the part for no reason.
I'm cautiously optimistic... I'll update when I hear more.
