  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just wanted to verify that others also have this partial seam (for lack of better word) on their side rear shades? any idea why? not that it is a big deal, but just seems odd and looks bad on an expensive car.

It's on mine as well. I thought the same thing. It does look bad.

Is it the same on both sides? Is it possibly for stiffening?

it is the same on both sides - and I initially thought the same thing about stiffening but it doesn't really seem to need it best I can tell. Unless it has something to do with it when it is not deployed and rolled up in the door.

Goes to show how much I LOVE this car though - when one of the few things I can even find to comment on is something like this :)

the more I look at it, it must have something to do with the change of angle on that side as you'll notice it is right where it goes from vertical, to 45 degree angle to match the window - and the opposite side, which is straight vertical, doesn't have it.

It is a stiffener. That "bend" at that corner would fold in or out if it wasn't supported.
