If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I posted this in the existing thread on the 2014 Genesis forum, but thought it should be raised in this forum as it is for the 2015 generation. I believe the next-generation Genesis R-spec is in testing looking at the full camouflage to the left of the next-generation Genesis Coupe prototype:

There is also another Genesis prototype with single exhaust pipes, maybe testing a new engine?

Great find! Thanks!

The so called "next-generation Genesis Coupe prototype" pictured there looks to be just a current genesis coupe with an extra bumper cover screwed/riveted on? I don't think any one can really read anything that's meaningful from the post on that site - other than Hyundai is working on things they have not announced yet: but we all know that.

There appears to be a spoiler or spoiler lip on the back of the sedan.

Yes understandable, the article does not provide a lot of detail, it is more of a follow-up article to the pictures that were taken last month on the same coupe prototype.

In terms of the coupe, you can see the details in the below link. Basically it is running the second-generation platform underneath the current generation's coupe body panels. It appears to be longer (which is why the rear bumper has been extended). They look to be moving it to more of a BMW 6 series competitor.

The Genesis sedan prototype pictures are obviously not the focus of the article, I am sure we will see more detailed pictures of this group in the future.

Thanks - much more clear that is the coupe prototype from that article (and pics)!

Hi,

Probably the 3.3L turbo.

Yep.

Quite common for automakers to test the new underpinnings w/ a modified outgoing body (aka test mule).
