  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Second Generation SiriusXM losing subscription when the power is off

I too had the SiriusXM issue and had my radio replaced. Their technician also forgot the SD Card, AND I am also experiencing the double line issue with no Top View!

Was anyone able to have the double line view /top view resolved? If so, how?

I have documented both issues on separate threads, but wanted to share my experience with the hopes it may help someone else reading this one!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
In case anyone was wondering, I started a thread attempting to resolve this issue and someone was able to provide the steps to resolve the double line issue!

Here is how I fixed it:

Go to the home screen. Click "Settings", Scroll to the bottom and click "System Info", Tap and hold on the circle in the center of the menus (the one with the arrows on it).

Once you in the menu, select the Variant button, then enter the password: 6172

Make sure your variant is DH, if not STOP HERE, because if you change the variant a good amount of settings can be lost and I would suggest you convey to a dealer what issues you found.

If the variant is good, select the System menu on the left, on the right, scroll down till you see: Parking Assist 0 and Parking Assist 1.

Parking Assist 1 should be the only value selected and below that selection box, you should see a value of PGS. If not, between the two options, verify:
  • Parking Assist 0: unchecked
  • Parking Assist 1: checked
Once that is complete, in the top right you press the send button, then exit out and turn off the car. Wait a few seconds and turn back on and test it out. Hopefully your back in business.

Good luck!

SiriusXM is losing subscription when I turn the car off.

I've had my 3.8 ultimate for about 7 months with no issues. The other day I got in and started it and the Sirius XM channels said no subscription. I called Sirius and they said everything on the account was good and they sent a refresh signal. Everything came back to normal until I turned the car off. Now every time I start the car I have the same "no subscription" for any Sirius channels. It doesn't matter how long the car has been off. What appears to be a signal refresh has restored service a couple of times after a few minutes of driving but other times it will not come back without requesting a refresh signal. All other aspects of the system seem to be working fine. I tried using the small reset button on the head unit but it did nothing different than just a power-on reset. There has been no change in where I park or drive so the signal strength has been the same.

Anyone else experience anything like this?[

Yes, see your dealer. w]When I had that the head unit was replaced. Hopfully you are under warranty.

Just posting this as an FYI for anyone dealing with the dropped satellite signal and is out of warranty. Mine is in warranty but the problem so far isn't enough for me to worry with getting it replaced. Both my wife's and my Genesis drop the signal occasionally. If you just get on your phone and go to the SiriusXM site and scroll down, you'll see the option to send a refresh signal from there. You just need to turn to channel 0 and get your radio ID. You don't have to log in. Not ideal, but it's quick and easy if it only happens to you every few weeks or months.
