  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Snow Snow and more Snow

Sleet, slush, and ice here in MD. Not a problem with my Blizzaks.

I noticed some people mentioning Continental DWS's here. Would that be a recommendation of an all season tire that would be better than average in the snow? If not, does anyone have such a recommendation? I'm unfortunately not in a position where I have room to store dedicated snow tires, nor do I feel like I need them in Northern Virginia where we only get a decent snow maybe 3 or 4 times a season. I'm just looking for something that performs better in the snow than the stock tires.

larrycohen28,

Yes, many of us are referring to the Continental all season DWS Extreme Contact.

I am in a similar situation where I don't want to switch the wheels/tires back and forth a couple times per year, so I bought the Contis. We have had a lot of snow this year in MN and these all seasons perform very well.
