  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Snow Tire Recommendation

I wonder if there's an actual difference in precision or function. Maybe something to do with the ability to display the current pressure? Or if it's just gouging for parts in the "premium market".

I think it is because they actually indicate which tire it is and the pressure compared to pressures only. The locating part is what I think makes them so special and expensive. All cars I have seen either tell you you have a flat or show a low pressure but do not explicitly tell you which one like the Genesis does.

The Canadian Gen 1 did not have TPMS so I do not know how those functioned but since you can get those for $35 each I assume they did not locate the tire either.

For the Genesis 5.0 Owner => LM-32

I have this tire and WOW, completely confident in the snow. Military and stationed in Colorado Springs so wanted V8 bacause I will be moving soon. This tire is absolutely night and day from the stock all seasons.

If you live in a climate that gets snow, get the LM-32s on the V8. It will set you back 1.5K after install, but SO worth it. This IS my winter car here in Colorado and I feel perfectly comfortable taking this car to the slopes with the rear wheel drive V8 engine. Snow tires on a Rear Wheel Drive car are equal to or better than all-season tires on an All-Wheel drive car. These tires, they are Engineered for cold/ice/snow...

However, get them from/done at a dealership. They are better at not scratching up your new rims. Firestone did mine and it cost them 400 dollars for 4 rims to be repaired. At least they owned up to it...

Just imagine how they perform on my V8 AWD. Simply amazing. :D

I guess Canada is good for something other than Hockey... LOL

It is a bummer that the AWD isn't offered in the states. If you build it, poeple WILL buy it...

My thought on why they didn't, fuel economy and the CAFE standards of the US...

We got beaver tails and poutine also. :D

Factory TPMS can be had direct from China for around $100 for a set of 4. Probably off spec for scratches or molding flash or non critical characteristic. If you get a buddy and buy 2 sets of 4 it is less than $90 per set.

Anyone have experience with Cooper Weathermaster tires? I've only heard good things about cooper tires, but I've never heard anything about their winter tire.

Are you going to let us in on how to get these?

Aliexpress.com
Search for hyundai tpms and the part number. Found part number on ebay. Second half of it is 3N100. If you go that route, i would recommend getting a visa gift card to use for payment in lieu of your credit card

That part is a $30 part and there is no indication of it fitting a 2015 Genesis. Also, that part can be found almost anywhere on the web at $30 which is the OEM part. The new 2015 model goes for $160 each at the dealer so I must assume we are talking different part numbers.

That came of the 2015 crash test cars. Used that p/N to find this

Obviously, you will not receive the same level of customer service through a website that kind of speaks English as you would a dealership, but i would expect the product to work.

Thanks for the update. Sure looks like my dealer was way off in wanting to charge me $160 each. With the complete part number it's a breeze to look up anywhere on the web. Thanks.

Official 2015 TPMS sensor part number is 52933 3N100
