  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looks schmooks! Everyone knows that SILVER is the fastest color.

:D

Advice for all 2g shoppers: IMO, if you haven't seen the color you think you like in real life and in the sunshine, you haven't really seen that color. You may get a real surprise when you really do see it. :)

Agreed!

Red, as in candy-apple red or ferrari red is definitely sporty - but Pamplona Red is more of a burgundy red - not the type of red you normally associate with a sports car. I like it too (almost bought it) - was just conveying what my early 20's/late teen daughters and their friends all said. But after seeing them side-by-side, I would say that the Empire State Gray does make the car look more agressive (at least to me).

Here's to all those gray sports cars out there!

Do you think there's any chance they were just trying to make you feel good about your color choice?

Personally, I don't care. My wife makes all our color choices. If it were up to me I'd pick plaid!

Manhattan Brown is it for me! I took this baby home and it looks so classy, perfect for my profession and friends, family, colleagues, and clients all love this color combo. Couldn't be happier and also this color is unique! It stands out in the parking lot over white or black.

Where did I say sports cars are gray? I said that, to me, that gray made the car look more aggresive / "sporty" than Pamplona Red - not that it's a sports car or that sports cars are gray! And, if you don't care, why keep chiming back in with your sarcasm?

BTW - no chance that my girls were just trying to make me feel good - they had told my wife before I decided, but she didn't tell me as she wanted me to pick what I wanted, without influence!

Not putting down gray but its the first time I've ever heard it said gray was sportier than red. Lol.

It's not. But gray probably best fits the car. The Genesis is a luxury car. The gray or montecito blue are like expensive suits on a business man. They exude luxury with some style.

Sorry, its a discussion forum. Chiming in and back is what happens here.

As long as you think gray is sporty, that's all that matters.

Chiming in/discussion is fine - it's your sarcasm when someone has a differing opinion to yours that sucks (and why I'll just ignore your "input" from now on)!

This turned out to really be the case. I went by North Freeway Hyundai in Houston twice this weekend (and was absolutely ignored by the salespeople lol, which didn't bother me) and they had most colors there and got to see them lined up in the sun. I even went back with my wife to get a second opinion (after all, she's the hot lady I want to impress). After seeing every color in person (except Paploma Red) Here are my top choices:
1. Cassablanca white/Beige interior
2. -tie- Empire State Gray With Ivory or Montecito Blue with Ivory
3. Caspian Black with Ivory

My wife's choices:
1. Empire State Gray Ivory
2. Cassablanca White/Beige
3. Caspian Black with Black

I will say that I am not a fan of Hyundai's Marrakesh beige. If you have one, I'm sorry, but for me you would have to give a very big discount to get me into a car with that color.

Now having seen this in person, I have to say I completely agree with you.

The Casablanca White with the black roof (Moon Roof)line looks wild. I have had so many compliments on how great it looks. It is also the easiest to LOOK clean.

I'm sorry but I live in Southern California and every other car is white or black..

I love my Manhattan Brown...

IMO, as far as luxury sedan goes nothing beats a black/black car and so long as you can keep the car in a show room pristine condition which is not easy and I know since I'm a weekend detailer myself.:D
My first blk/blk luxury sedan was the Lexus LS400 and there was not even a debate when I first saw my Genesis at the dealership.
And I have yet to see a 2015 b/b 5.0 Ultimate. Most I've seen are blk/ivory color.
Not even sure Hyundai offers that combination?
If there is it must be very hard to find one.

I own two 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate.

1) Ibiza Blue w/ Ivory Interior
2) Casablanca White with Black Interior.

I prefer Ibiza w/ Ivory but wouldn't mind Ibiza/Black and/or White/Ivory. lol

None of the 2015 colors excited me until I saw Manhattan Brown in the sunlight. I went out of state to get the only one I could find. They should rename it "Rootbeer", in the sun the metallic looks like the bubbles in a mug of A&W!

Woohoo, two of us for the brown, poll needs to be changed now :p

I was really smitten with the Manhattan brown. When it is clean, the mica in it really pops. I don't know how it would look with a film a dirt and grime to kill the sparkle...

It essentially becomes a black car when dirty or when it is cloudy and gloomy but when it is clean and the sun hits it, it is the most stunning color Hyundai offers.

I am really happy with Empire State Gray. Looks greenish in certain light.
