I thought I'd post my mileage findings after 2.5 years of recording.
I've converted to US numbers (from litres per 100 kilometres) to US gallon equivalents.
I'm not a lead foot, but not a slow driver either. I like to "exercise" the car now and then
)
My mileage is about 50%city and 50% highway. Taken 3 long trips - 4000 miles, 5000 miles, and 8000 miles. Car now has 63000kms (approx 39500 miles)
My overall average is 10.7 litres per 100km (22 miles per US gallon)
My best tank was during a long trip 8.2 ltrs per 100 (28.7 miles per US gallon)
My worst tank was city only at 15.7 litres per 100 (15.0 miles per US gallon).
It actually isn't much different than a 2005 Taurus I had with a 3.0 motor.
BTW - gas in Canada is about 25 to 30% more than US pricing.
Just thought I'd share this for any comparisons someone might want to do.
