Getting familiar with the group...
Well, I've logged 5000 miles on the 2013 R-Spec with new wheels and tires. 20"x8.5 front with 245 Conti DW and 20"x10 rear with 275 Conti DW.
Wheel review: PITA to keep clean, I keep my car very clean, and these wheels add time to washing, but they look great. I like the stagger and polished lip. Reduced weight over stock is a plus.
Tires, well my car had the "right pull" since new. Adding this wheel /tire combo made it worse. Recently took the car to a race shop that specializes in race car set up. They managed to get it all set up correctly and now the car barely pulls. It does track on uneven roads, but that is expected. Traction is amazing in both wet and dry conditions. I love it, even knowing I will be replacing tires at 20k miles or sooner, its well worth it to me. The car is noticeably faster from a stand still. The OEM R-spec wheels / Conti combo seemed to spin and cause the traction control to kick in often. With the wider DW's, the car hooks up and takes off, most of the time the traction control does not kick in. I have used both PocketDyno and Dynolicious apps on my iPhone. While not a perfect system, I ran back to back runs with both the stock wheels and current set up. Car consistently pulled a quicker time by 3/10ths over the stock set up (0-60 runs conducted on same track, same day, about an hour apart). For all those that think a 10" rear with a 275 tire will rub, it WILL NOT. My car has had 4 people in it, trunk full of gear, trips, spirited driving, passes and one track day for fun. Never had an issue yet.
