What products did you use? It looks really good! [emoji79]
I'm not sure if using a duster is safe for the paint, as it could scratch it. Instead, using some quick detailer and a microfiber towel, it will leave the car looking just washed and it won't damage the paint.I'm too lazy to do a proper wash job in 35-40 degree weather. I've got a place by me that will do a great hand wash and dry, including interior and exterior windows, and interior vacuuming for $15. I try not to drive the Genesis in wet weather, so it keeps pretty clean. (I drive the old Elantra in crappy weather).
To keep the Genesis clean between washes, I use one of those California Dusters. Works pretty good to remove dust.

No Rinse™ Wash & Shine is the most technologically advanced car wash system that only requires 1-2 gallons of water to wash the entire car. No Rinse™ Wash & Shine does not require rinsing since there are no soapy surfactants to wash off into the storm drains.
This unique product contains substantive polymers which bond to the paint and protect it during the wash. Therefore, No Rinse™ Wash & Shine offers greater protection and lubricity than conventional car washes leaving a sleek & glossy finish behind afterwards. The waste water in the bucket can be used to water the lawn or disposed of into a sink, where it will be treated!
Additional benefits are faster washes, ability to wash anywhere at anytime including washing inside the garage during the cold months, no messy water runoffs, and greater looking car finishes. These are some of the reasons No Rinse™ Wash & Shine is being used by many professional detailers across the country (see testimonials).
No Rinse™ Wash & Shine can also be used to wash motorhomes, motorcycles, boats, and planes.
Directions:
Add 1 oz. of Optimum No Rinse™ Wash & Shine to 2 gallons of water in a bucket. Soak a plush microfiber towel into the wash solution and wash one section at a time till it is completely clean. Dry the section using a clean plush microfiber towel.
I guess that I'm done using the California duster. Only used it 3 or 4 times since I got the car.
Seemed like a good idea. It picked up dust off the car without applying any pressure.....
Anyone else used one of these??
I agree. I've used a California duster on my 2010 since new, but only to remove dust that settles in the garage (which is quite a bit - the car spends way more time in the garage than on the street). I've seen no damage whatever to the paint.California car dusters are for garage/trailer queens only. They are not for driven cars that pick up road grime. They are for dust...and only dust.
Source: Dad's classic Porsche sits in the garage a lot...a LOT. Only time we bust out the California car duster is to move it.
This is a completely unrelated question, but I'm having the hardest time to figure out how to post a new thread after updating the app. The new update sucks major balls!!! Can any of you help me out? Please and thank you. 😩
