Spark Plugs, anyone try the new Ruthenium from NGK?

I'm looking at NGK website and I see multiple plugs for my 12 R-Spec. Including the new Ruthenium plugs. Anyone try these or anything other than oem? Curios about real world experience differences. Thanks
 
I am also curious about the newer Ruthenium tipped plugs. Not much information is available about when I checked on them a few months ago.
 
I did some research and it seems that a few Lexus/Toyota owners like the performance over iridium plugs. I also appears that ruthenium alloy tips lasts longer than than iridium/platinum tip plugs, so it looks like a plug that will last a long time while providing better performance due to conducting voltage better as well.

I will consider using ruthenium plugs when I swap out my old stock iridium plugs in 5.0.

I should have used the ruthenium plugs in wife's Lexus RX350 plug change a few months ago due to how much work it took to change the plugs in that engine(remove the cowl/wiper motor, intake manifold,etc.).

I put them on my other car (pentastart V6) @ 50k, runs smoothly now, but I'm pretty sure I would have gotten the same results if I had put iridium plugs, but it doesn't hurt to go with the best even if it's negligible.

Why are you replacing the coils?
These aren't the plug wires of olden days.

Must be a Toyota thing. When we had our Sienna it was a royal PITA to change plugs.

I feel your pain. Toyota and Nissan V6 engine rear bank plugs are a pain in the ass to get to. I had to do the job on my wife old Nissan Murano as well which was the same pain in the ass process. I can see why the Toyota/Lexus owners are installing the long life ruthenium plugs since the plugs should last well over 100k miles due how hard it is to change the plugs. I am sure Nissan V6 owners are installing the newer long life ruthenium plugs as well.
 
went ahead and ordered the Ruthenium. Rockauto had the best total price with shipping. I'll post when installed next week.
 
Because they're known to go bad around 60k, on the Chrysler forum, plenty of people had their coils fail around 60k, so I was being proactive.

Key being "Chrysler forum".
 
Some cars are known to have coil issues. My Saab is one of them, I replaced all 6 of my coils when I did plugs recently.

PLUG UPDATE:
So I purchased the plugs from Rockauto. Verified with NGK they were not counterfeit and installed yesterday. Pretty easy to do. Drove about 50 miles today, surface street and freeway. Engine is definitely smoother. Pick up seems improved as well. Original plugs had 45k on them, all were clean, but, over 8 years old, so why not? So, I can verify they fit, seem to improve performance a bit, and are worth consideration. Just had to open them up a bit as 44 was needed and they ship at 43 gap, no biggee.

Well, excuse us for sharing, it does relate to plugs, coils are right there.

I change my plugs every 50k, they all say iridium can go 100k, but that's too much, just like oil, I change it every 5k, even though it's good for 10k, but hey wrong thread to talk about oil too, right?

You are correct. MY original post was asking about spark plugs and you hijacked it and next thing we are hearing about coils on Toyotas, Chryslers, Saabs, BMW's. ALL off topic. If you want to discuss coils, especially on other car brands, start your own thread please.

You hijacked yourself, you're the one who started talking about coils in thread # 6, I never said anything about coils before you started talking about it, and YOU are the one who asked me why I replaced the coils, OK!
