  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

80 liter tank referenced in the photo on post 237 is disappointing.

One of my biggest complaint on my G70 is the small tank size and resulting short range and having to fill up every 4-5 days. I am hoping this SUV is able to tow my trailer and an 80 liter tank won't provide much range when towing. My current tow vehicle (2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee) has a 93 liter tank and the Mercedes GLE has a similar size as well.

That said it is driving me crazy that it hasn't been released and all specs shown yet! I need to know if this is a possible replacement for my Jeep or not and I am ready to replace my Jeep now!

A bit grainy w/ the details hidden by shadow, but 1st pic I've seen of the dash largely uncovered...

^ Ha, then must have missed it the 1st time around.

Getting excited about this. My Terrain lease should be up about the same time that we start getting these. Gonna test drive it, the GLE and Aviator and see which I like best. I've loved my G70 so far so I'm leaning towards the GV80 for the value that it will likely offer.

looks more like a 5 passenger gv70 to me. gv80 is gonna be the same platform as the telluride and this does not look big enough

Last time I checked, the gv80 is not riding on a fwd platform.
Maybe they just put the body on backwards. Rear engine RWD, an oversize Corvair.

That is the GV80. GV70 is substantially smaller.

Also...I believe the GV80 is not going after huge 3 row SUV's. I think it will be 5 passenger...dunno.

Yeah, this. It's not gonna be as big as the Telluride. Who knows, maybe we'll eventually get a GV90.

Telluride is the 2nd generation platform and GV80 is the 3rd generation platform. They can never be on the same platform.

From photos I really can't judge the size of the GV80. I did see the original concept at the NY Auto Show a couple years ago, but really can't recall whether it was a 3 row mid-size (similar to Palisade/Telluride)or closer to the Sorento in size. I did have the opportunity to see and sit in a Palisade while visiting my Hyundai dealership last week and was VERY impressed. Haven't driven it yet.

GV80 and 2003 Santa Fe

Seeing that the 2003 Santa Fe was roughly the size of a current Tucson, the GV80 is obviously a good deal larger (though the rear camouflage exaggerates the length) but does not appear to approach the 196" of Palisade. Perhaps 190" to 193" in length? Maybe a prototype will make the auto show circuit this winter.

Maybe 195'' in length.
