I am concerned that this gear shifter design (what the spy shots have repeatedly shown on both the GV80 and G80) is going to cause problems and turn people away from the brand. A rotary gear shifter is unintuitive to most drivers, especially when they are accustomed to a knob in this location being used to control the infotainment screen. Many automakers tried this design in the past and moved away from it. What cars still use it? Only three that come to my mind is the Ford Focus, Chrysler 300C, and Jaguar XJ.
