  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

Not really stand-alone dealerships, but 'distributor locations.'

The direct-from-manufacturer online sales model has been a limiting factor for Genesis sales in Canada due to the limited options in seeing the product at hand (if one doesn't want to bother w/ making an appointment for a vehicle to be dropped off).

Don't mind the tablet form-factor as it allows for a lower dash, but Hyundai did a better job of integrating the screen to the rest of the dash on the Palisade and Grandeur.

Great thanks for the info, this makes a lot of sense, not having such location to be able to see the car, experience also what is Genesis, lots of customers want to b able to see the product at hand.

this is great. I think I see Hyundai logo...what car is this from?

Actually prefer the design of this...

A modern, clean design but still has a sense of warmth.

The Hyundai Grandeur only sold in Korea and Middle East.

Which is the same as the Azera...which was pulled from the NA market. There is a chance it might come back as the Azera again.

I would hope so but they pulled it because low sales and the fact that Genesis was coming out with the G70. The Sonata fits that lot now as North America’s Flagship.

I'm also curious as to how the controls will feel. Cheap/plastic-like or metal/weighted with a premium feel? We should know shortly....

Considering the G70 has better quality materials that the current G80, I would assume that the new G80 and GV80 will both improve on what is in the G70.

There have been some rumblings that it may come back to the NA market in its F/L form, but this time keeping the Grandeur name (Hyundai trademarked it last year).

Have my doubts about that as Hyundai is doing more than fine w/ the Palisade as their new flagship.

But if they do bring it back, they really need to pump some $$ into advertising it (something they never really did for the Azera).

Yeah, as the lineup expands, there is greater economies of scale in having Genesis-specific switchgear.

In other news, the first Genesis BEV slated to launch in 2021 (could be the GV60).

The new Sonata has really impressed me Exterior and Interior. A lot of Journalist say that the interior looks and feels like a Genesis product.

As far as I’m concerned, the GV80 five spoke wheels are king of OEM wheels. They are they best five spoke design I have seen come straight from factory. Usually a guy has to search aftermarket for stuff like that. Genesis knocked it out of the park with that design.

I agree. They are nice. Wish they offered similar style for smaller size wheels though.

I noticed from the leak shots that there is no fog lights on the gv80. More and more car manufacturers dont offer them anymore. Where I live there are no road markings or reflectors, having the fog lights help especially in the rain.
Does the presence of full LED headlights justify the absence of fog lights?

Looks better without fog lights.

Headlight on Vehicles now today have so much technology put into the lights that you really don’t need Fog lights. If you put on you high beams they really do the work. Some cars have adaptive high beam where it will detect a car on coming and lower it so it won’t blind the other drivers

Wouldn't be surprised if the 5 spoke wheel options were for the Sport models. Its looking like a GV80 Sport is in my future, that thing looks amazing.
