Those lights on the front are FUGLY to me. The grill I like but that's about it. I think the German designers left and this is back to normal.

Looks to me like it lost its aggressive and sporty design. Basically its just a shorter g80 now. I was planning on getting the facelifted g70 but now I'm leaning towards that new M340i. I'm hoping it's just the pictures and it actually may look a lot better in person but we'll just have to wait and see.

It will probably look better in person (which doesn't mean you shouldn't still get the M340i if you're already leaning that way). When I was single and in the dating world, if a woman wasn't sure if she wanted to move forward (usually because there was someone else "pending"), I always figured it was better to let them go where they wanted rather than have her feel like there was something she wondered if she missed out on. Don't "settle" on me while wondering about someone else; I'd rather it be the other way around .

I actually like the new G70 facelift. However, I find that with the softer edges, the car looks a lot better in lighter colour (Silver in the official released photos, and the white one above).

Your talking about Luc, letting you know the next few designs that will come out from genesis is his vision, they are continuing his work, get used to those split headlights my friend

Not sure what’s going on here (left vs right), but I prefer the red tail lights as opposed to the body color painted strip between.

Watching several Korean Youtube videos on the new G70 (with auto-translate), which will be released in October in Korea, they all seemed to state that the new G70 will be staying with the new engines, only Stinger will have the new engines. Eh?! That is too disappointing if true. Below is one of the videos (already have English sub included.)

I saw another picture of it and yeah no it’s a big no for me. It’s to round looks Mercedes and I don’t like that design at all. Should of just kept the G70 how it was and do a facelift like the Stinger and then wait for a new Gen for the new design language. The facelift doesn’t fit the body in my opinion.

Likely retains the 2.0T for the Korean market due to the displacement tax.

The KDM Stinger is available with both T4 engines.

Can't see them not offering the 2.5T here, esp.since the European launch for Genesis is getting closer, where the upgrade to the 2.5T is a must for emissions purposes.

Maybe those lights will grow on me, but unless they look 1000 times better in person i doubt it. Sad really this may be my first and last genesis with this redesign and dealer network they have me looking at what other brands are offering in the near future. Only time will tell.

Video of a real-world pre-production G70 in Korea. Basically says it looks much better in person than in the photos, as it's getting ragged on in Korea for looking worse than the current G70. It has the new Kia stinger wheels and no badging in the rear because it's pre-production. I think the front looks much better here than in the earlier spyshot photos - maybe it's the lighting and it starting to grow on me.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that he says the back seat room has increased over the current version. Not sure how much truth there is to this but if it's true that's a welcomed change.

I liked the sharper edged render they had in the beginning of the video.

The black paint plus blacked out headlights look good together. It fades out the rounded edges, and you can't tell at a glance where the paint stops and headlights begin, making it seem more lean. I wish the grill trim was dark chrome though; the edges stand out way too much.

Are the door handles body colored now instead of trim colored?

Oh man, I am not liking the looks of those rounded off headlights, and the nose in general, at least in those pics. Maybe it's the lens or the angle? Will have to see it in person.

Between that video and the photos of the white car, I actually think it looks really great. The photo of the back of the white car looks especially good to me, for some reason. Regardless of your opinion, at least no one can call this derivative with any sort of validity.
