Hi Folks,
I hope I am posting this correctly. I saw some older posts that are similar to my issue, but not exactly. Thought it would be good to post a new Thread to see if anyone is having the same issue.
So, I got my 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD in January. Had a few things done, new winter tires/rims, new rear brakes/rotors (holy expensive!), alignment and tire balancing (twice now). I am getting a slight pull to the right (which from my previous research shows that this is quite common on these cars), however my biggest problem is the feel of the steering. I feel like I have very little control over the car when driving and that I can rotate the steering wheel about 1/2" right or left without the car following the pattern.
Each time I go to the dealership, which is at 4 visits now, they keep saying the suspension is good and the alignment is good, tire pressures are at recommended and start to blame the electric steering. I have a 2017 Civic now and I had a 2018 Colorado a few months back. The Civic feels amazing and super precise compared to the Genesis (does that make sense?) and the Colorado had electric steering and while it definitely was not be most sensitive it was eons better than the responsiveness in my Genesis.
Sport mode does tighten it up and makes it a bit more enjoyable, but it still feels like I have less control on the car.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I emailed Hyundai Corporate today to see what they say, but my hopes are not high with them.
Thanks in advance!
