  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Steering Wheel Clicking Noise

That’s exactly what I ended up doing. I just rolled with it in the moment because it made sense. Click free! Thanks for the input. I’m glad I found this in page.
No problem. I work for genesis / Hyundai dealer as a platinum technician. I want to help as much as I can for this community. I own a genesis as well.

Not exactly the same problem, but I have a "growling" noise coming from under driver's seat when it is moving (sometimes). No debris or "stuff" visible. June 2012 4.6L. You might be the right person to give me an idea what to look for. Hopefully not the seat motor or gearbox!

Thanks for your responses. They are most helpful. Currently experiencing this problem on my 2017 G80 Ultimate. Do you think that the dealership would fix it if I went in with the felt and then explained your fix? Or do you think I'm going to have to go somewhere else? Also, what size felt should I get so it will fit in the holes properly? Thanks!

We have felt that we get fr recalls that we wrap wire looms in to prevent noise transfer. It’s a thin felt. Best description is Velcro but not the hook sided one. I peel off the backing and stick it into the hole where the guide pin goes. You can the them that but most dealership get mad at customers coming in and telling them how to fix it even though it will fix it.

Not sure if anybody is still active on this thread, but I have a similar issue. Can I remove the airbag without removing trim and panels? or do I need to take everything apart to get to the pins mentioned above?
