  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Folks - I have a 2009 4.6, bought in December last year. Car has 1900 miles on it. Lately, when I press the ignition button (with foot on brake), only the seat returns to the "drivers position" as the car starts. The steering wheel remains in the "Easy Access" (upright) position. This occurs about 80% of the time. The other 20%, BOTH the seat and the steering wheel return to my drivers position.

Anyone else experiencing this? It's driving me NUTS.

Take it in for service, they'll fix it up. I think there was a TSB for this issue.

Yes. There is a TSB for this. I took mine in and they took care of it.

I have a similar problem. I have a 2010 V-8 Sedan. I'll set the steering wheel position and then over the course of a week or two it will slowly lose that setting and will eventually return to a lower elevation setting. I.e., it will drop down. Not as I'm driving but when I put the key in the holder (which is when the seat and steering wheel go to their pre-set positions), over time the steering stops going to the setting I set and instead it will go to a factory position, which is lower than where I set it to. I'll check the TSB and get with the dealer.

There is a TSB on this.......Had mine done...no more problems!

Hi Guys. went to edmunds and could not find the TSB for the steering wheel. My car is in the shop as we speak, and they have no idea what the problem is.

thx.

The TSB on this is......

TSB 08-BE-010

My Genesis trained technician at my dealers service department did the job in less than an hour. Mine was not the first he did, so he knew what he was doing.
