Bought new genesis 3.8 ultimate on 11/30/15. Was driving on the expressway on Saturday 1/16/16 around 5:20pm when there was a loud noise, the wind started to shake the headliner, and little pieces of glass started to fall in the passenger compartment. We stopped and realized that our sunroof had exploded. The outside temperature was around 30 degrees, and we were driving at about 65 miles per hour.
Called the dealer on Monday 1/18 and was told that it would take one week to get a replacement sunroof, called again on Friday 1/22 and was told replacement is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday 1/26. Car cannot be driven and is sitting in our garage. We hope the repair will be covered by the warranty. According to the internet, there is a class action suit against Hyundai about other Hyundai models having this problem, I found only one other posting about this happening to a Genesis 2015.
