  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Super Strong Genesis Lease!

Well, the world seems somewhat round again.

After speaking to 11 Hyundai dealerships (9 with Tech ) within 200 miles of my location here are the results:
  • 3 Do not follow the Hyundai Lease Program
  • 8 Do follow the Hyundai Lease Program
  • 2 Would allow another dealer to take their car - so I could lease the car locally and not have to pick it up

I am far more optimistic about Hyundai now and several dealerships could not imagine not following the program and are actually running ads on the car in the paper with the lease program being highlighted.

Interestingly, most want me to come on in to the dealership to finish the deal and review the numbers. I have strictly opposed such a move in the past. Credit, down payment and basic paperwork can be completed over the phone and the dealership just needs some forms signed when the car is delivered. Personally, I prefer this method - simpler & quicker & less likely for last minute changes.

Will advise when in a new Genesis - I hope. OOPs - phone just rang and the evil dealership that said they would not honor the Hyundai lease yesterday - would honor it on the $399 car. Told them to check on the $499 Tech package and call me back. Isn't buying a car fun....

Unfortunately, this dealership is a little farther away than I would like.

Worst case scenario, you could always buy the Genesis far away and service it locally... You might feel guilty doing so and might want to feel loyal to the dealership you bought the car from - but you WOULD have purchased from there - allowing them to move a vehicle - which is still good for them...

Just got back from the Genesis tour event in Bloomington, MN and found out the that $500 coupon is good towards leases too (and is above and beyond any other programs or specials). I am psyched!!!:)

I test drove a 3.8L w/Tech Package. It completely exceeded my expectations - which were already very high. Quiet, luxurious, loaded... This sealed the deal for me and I am pulling the trigger as soon as the tech packages arrive in MN. The first two dealers I spoke to here are honoring the lease package so that is positive news.

So, I guess you are getting one right? :) Could become our 5th owner. :p

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Yep - I am getting one but I probably won't be the 5th since I have use of my company car until 8.17.08.

The only wrinkle will be that if I wait past July 31st, I have to assume that Hyundai will maintain the introductory lease. Given the fact that there aren't even any tech packages here yet then I think I am safe to assume the lease deal will be extended by one month..
