  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tau Engine makes 2011 Ward's 10 Best Engine list

interesting to see that they manage to get the 19mpg on their tests drives. So I guess that are so mules driving around

so when can you order a 2011 Genesis with a 5.0? or test drive one......

I wonder if it will arrive with the 8 speed auto transmission with it?

I need to know the performance numbers for the Genesis with the 5.0 liter engine. I'll be in the market to replace my 335i in a year or so. I'm interested in the Genesis.. I just need to take a good, long test-drive to see if the suspension is okay with me...

As to the question of when we can expect to see the 5.0, I find it interesting that the linked articles says: "To be eligible for the competition, each engine must be available in a regular-production U.S.-specification model on sale no later than first-quarter 2011 . . . ." The competition's criteria would suggest we should see the 5.0 available for purchase by no later than March 31, 2011.

It should do the 0-60 in 5 or less, and have the same suspension as a 10 or 11. A modded 335i would still be faster, but I'd rather much have a loaded Genesis than a modded 335i

Maybe an R-Spec Genesis or Equus in the works, too :)

I don't think it will do 5 or less 0-60.. I'd put it at 5.1-5.3.
