  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Beef's G70

…for ?

Forgot to mention that I can pocket $14k if I sell my G70 now.

EV6GT or maybe the GV60... Maybe you're not into electric though...

14K is pretty attractive...

What does your gut say? Would you be happy with much less performance but way more utility?

Given the $ you can pocket and the relatively few miles you drive each year I would say go for the Calligraphy.

The G70 is the fastest and most enjoyable car I have ever owned…hands down.

But as I get older…I’m chilling out on the speed.

It’s like I’ve reached a life goal of owning a sub 4 second car…LOL

I haven’t raced anyone off a light in well over a year. Yes I hit it on the highway, etc at times…but even then I get scared a cop will nail me.

So yeah…performance is not my priority. Mind you the Santa Fe hits 60 in 6 seconds. Not exactly a slouch. My 2013 A4 was slower !!!

To add…it’s for 3 years. Who knows what Genesis/Hyundai will have in 2024. Electric may be more mainstream…prices back to below MSRP, etc. perhaps another G70 with the 3.5TT.

The car is in transit…and I’ll drive and check it out in a week.

Bye folks...it's been fun.

I decided to unload my beloved G70 today. My buyout is $27k. Sold it to Carvana for $42k. CRAZY.

I replaced it with a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy AWD. White with black napa leather.

Really do not need an SUV but...there is NOT ONE SINGLE vehicle that I can find that is <= $48k that is loaded and AWD. NADA. To add...the dealer actually charges MSRP. Everyone else is gouging.

To add...used cars are insane...as everyone probably knows. A used 2021 Calligraphy with 8k miles is more than a 2022 brand new one !!!! WTF ?!?!?

I could keep the G70 for another 5 months...but I would be in the same boat. The crazy market will not change in 5 months...and the value of my G70 might go down...as I heard that the used car market might be settling down soon.

The Santa Fe Calligraphy is Genesis level quality inside...I kid you not. Not one single car has the luxury or options for this price. Napa leather...micro suede headliner...HUD...ambient lighting, etc.

Surprisingly...that 2.5T pulls very nicely. Yes...it is not a 3.3TT...but you know what?...I had my fun in the G70. One reckless speeding ticket (beat it in court) and many races won :) If I crave a crazy fast car again...I will revisit in 3 years.

I am pretty damn sure I am going to enjoy cruising in my new ride. The tech is unreal.

Been fun on the board...causing trouble...cracking jokes...and hearing all the stories.

Take care everyone. I will probably peek in every now and then. Probably not.

Oh...and if anyone wants my JB4...ping me. I am NOT selling the bluetooth adapter kit.

Cheers.

Not sad to see you go...you've always been a wholeass. I feel sorry for the Santa Fe forum people.

:)

The Hyundai does look nice!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Take it easy Beefer. We had some good times back when Genesis was rolling out the dealers, maybe sometime again down the road.

Congratulations! Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

Sorry to see you go. Prices you mention sound crazy but understand if your going to bail, get out when things are peaked price wise and take the profit. Enjoy the Santa Fe you got.

Well @Beefer it was a blast. You were the most vocal and excited member on the forum to have a G70 back in 2018-2019 and I fed off that, so thanks! You're making some bank with the deal, so I totally get it.

Happy travels, my fellow enthusiast!
