At the end of November 2012 I bought my 2009 Genesis 3.8 with 22k miles. It was time to move on after owning a 1999 nissan maxima for 14 years. Loved that car but with 182,000 miles, it was time.
With the maxima whenever I would get to the work parking lot, I would find the closest spot and it didn't matter how 'far away' the car in the next spot was to me. A door ding was common. But now with the Genesis, I park in the same spot every day. It's a corner spot with no chance for anyone to ding my doors. The walk is longer and that is fine with me (I could use the extra exercise anyway.)
Getting to my point of this post, every day I walk away from my car I look back and smile
. Most cars are blah but the Genny is a pretty car and I'm proud to own her. I even point her out to other people even though I know they could care less.
Am I alone here feeling/acting this way? I'm sure there are several of you out there that do the same thing.
