The collision detection on the 2019 Genesis G70 actually worked in a real situation
A narrow escape (possibly)

I never heard of that before. Not sure it happened that way from what I've seen. He may have steered and did not realize what he did.Steers into the other lane? Not sure if I like that aspect of the collision avoidance. That can cause more problems than just rear ending someone

Not so simple. If the driver depress the brake but the car "estimates" that the braking power applied by the driver is not enough it will apply more braking power. If the driver moves the steering wheel or depress the gas pedal sharply it will deactivate the FCA.Correct, he likely applied steering at the last second. The car won't take evasive steering action. In fact, if there's any driver input at all (steering, throttle, or braking are applied by the driver), the FCA system aborts the braking sequence.
If you've not seen it yet, this shows how it works. Empty car convoy.Correct, he likely applied steering at the last second. The car won't take evasive steering action. In fact, if there's any driver input at all (steering, throttle, or braking are applied by the driver), the FCA system aborts the braking sequence.
This a is a very old video. Weird nobody "tried this at home" ?Anyone else catch the "LKA Modified not to turn off" in the video? I need to know how to do this. That means your car could basically autopilot itself with SCC and LKA
I went to the morgue and paid $5 for a cadaver hand. Hang it from the wheel and you're golden.Anyone else catch the "LKA Modified not to turn off" in the video? I need to know how to do this. That means your car could basically autopilot itself with SCC and LKA
You could just rest your pecker on the bottom as well. That’s why I prefer flat-bottomed steering wheels...LOLI went to the morgue and paid $5 for a cadaver hand. Hang it from the wheel and you're golden.
Who said my pecker ever rests? You could just rest your pecker on the bottom as well. That’s why I prefer flat-bottomed steering wheels...LOL
